True Wallace (born October 16, 1980) is a Scottish-American citizen, born in Scotland, and having immigrated to America with his mother at a young age. Currently, he is a well-respected American marine biologist, partnered with Dr. Alexis Murphy with the University of California. He is one of the main protagonists of Return to the Lost World: Jurassic Park.
True was born in the tiny village of Drumnadrochit, nestled on the west shore of Scotland's most infamous freshwater loch, Loch Ness. He didn't spend long in Scotland, however. When he was the tender young age of five, his parent's divorced, and his mother decided to immigrate to the United States, where she felt life would be better for herself and True. Much of his life after that is unknown, except for that he attended the University of California in his late adolescence, pursuing a career in marine biology.
True is a credited marine biologist, specializing in the study of whales. He is primarily responsible for gathering recordings of known whale sounds to compile for Dr. Alexis Murphy, his main research partner and colleague.
Loch Ness Expedition: January 2012
On November 23, 2012, True was a member of the expedition, lead by Dr. Murphy, to Loch Ness, with the intentions of discovering the identity of the species referred to as "Nessie" by the locals. Though not a cryptozoologist himself, having once lived on the shores of Ness, as well as being a specialist on whales, True was interested in the outcomes of the expedition. After having captured evidence of the creature, and having their vessel attacked at the same time, True suggested that the expedition be put on hold until the evidence could be analyzed. Dr. Murphy agrees, and takes him with her back to the States to meet up with one of her old colleagues.
- True is inspired by Zachary Wallace, the main character of Steven Alten's The Loch.
